IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SUMMER 2023

June 26 through August 3 

General Info

Please be on time for your session. We start warm ups at the session start time. Allow time for parking and/or drop off.

If you require any medical necessities such as an inhaler, glucose tablets, or Epi-pen, BRING THEM & put them in  your string bag or backpack with your NAME clearly on the bag and inform the site Director where you place your bag.

Communication will take place through the following channels:

  • The email address you provided for correspondence on your online registration

  • Twitter:  @DragonsLairSSC (highly recommended for quick updates due to weather, etc.)

  • Not into twitter? No problem. The live Twitter feed is posted on this website's home page

Refer to the FAQ page for what to bring (especially if you are new to the program).

Inclement Weather Turf Days:  

We will make every effort to continue as usual, even in rain. Typically, we move the workout indoors. Be prepared by having sneakers for indoor workouts in addition to your cleats in the event of rain. On the off-chance we need to cancel due to severe weather and lack of space, we will contact you through the email you used as your correspondence e
mail.
 

Drop off - Pick up - Parking

PARKING, DROP OFF & PICK UP FOR THE  DHS WEIGHT ROOM (D114)

Weight room drop off will follow the normal traffic flow for DHS. For all sessions, access to the building is through DOOR 22. When facing DHS, door 22 is located approximately 40 yards to the right of the DHS main entrance. Pick up should occur in the DHS bus area. Participants that are driving themselves are asked to use the faculty parking lot to the LEFT of DHS. Do not park in the administration/faculty area in front of the school. 

DROP OFF & PICK UP FOR THE TURF FIELD

Please follow the posted signs for traffic flow at the Lieutenant Steele Building / Turf Complex. Drop off and pick up will occur at the entrance to the turf field between the Steele Building and the Bleachers. 

Please exercise caution in ALL areas as they are often busy with children from many recreational programs!

Groupings! 

HIGH SCHOOL SESSIONS A & B GROUPINGS (6:30AM, 8:00AM, 9:30AM) Sessions are one hour and fifteen minutes. 

There will be NO class on Tuesday, July 4

High School Sessions will train two of their days in the weight room, and two of their days at the turf field.

(A) Groups will meet in the DHS weight room on Monday and Wednesday, and on the turf field on Tuesday and Thursday. (B) Groups will meet at the turf field on Monday and Wednesday, and in the DHS weight room on Tuesday and Thursday.

GRADE 8 (A) Group: SPORT STRENGTH & CONDITIONING, 11:00 AM - 12:00PM 

There will be NO class on Tuesday, July 4

(A) Group will meet in the DHS weight room, (D114), on Monday and Wednesday, and on the turf field on Tuesday and Thursday. Please see above for parking, access to, drop off, and pick up that is specific to the weight room and turf field.

GRADE 7 (B) Group: SPORT STRENGTH & CONDITIONING, 11:00 AM - 12:00PM

There will be NO class on Tuesday, July 4

(B) Group will meet at the turf field on Monday and Wednesday, and in the DHS weight room, (D114) on Tuesday and Thursday. Please see above for parking, access to, drop off, and pick up that is specific to the weight room and turf field.

GRADES 4, 5, 6: INTRO TO SPORT FITNESS, 9:30AM - 10:30AM

Grades 4, 5, 6 meet on Monday and Wednesday only. BOTH meeting days will occur on the turf field. Drop off and pick up will occur at the area described above for the turf field. We will have a staff member greet this group at the entrance to the field area and escort the group to the field for their session. If you arrive late, please escort your athlete to the field area to meet his/her group. At the end of each session we will escort this group back to the drop off/pick up area.
